• Texas Transparency

  We are proud to annouce the City has received the Texas Comptroller Leadership Circle Silver Award for the second year in a row!  This award is earned by implementing financial transparency.

• 2012 - 2013 Budget

  The City of Palacios adopted its 2012 - 2013 annual budget at a regular meeting on September 11, 2012.  This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year's budget by $9,699 or 0.83%, and of that amount, $11,349.45 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.

• 2012 - 2013 Tax Rate

  The City of Palacios adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate.

  The tax rate will effectively be raised by 0.24 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $0.03.
